Starting from January 2013 Volkswagen will launch two very special models in the British market. One is the Scirocco GTS edition, and the other is this, the Beetle Fender Edition. Built in collaboration with the famous guitar maker, the Beetle Fender limited edition is a classy hipster car.

And for the privilege of owning one you have to pay £23,015 for the manual model, and £24,610 for the DSG version. Both models are powered by a 2.0-litre TDI 140 PS engine, and come in only one color: Deep Pearl Black.

The Fender Edition Beetle gets a couple of unique visual features such as rear spoiler, stylish 18-inch ‘Discus’ alloy wheels, and a Fender badge on each front wing. The interior is modified more substantially, with a dash panel in vibrant ‘Sunburst’ wood, just like a classic Fender guitar, as well as 400-Watt Fender sound system, complete with boot-mounted subwoofer, illuminated front speaker mountings.

In terms of standard equipment, the Fender is pretty much loaded with suff like RCD 510 audio unit with full-colour touchscreen and MDI multi-device interface, 2Zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, bi-xenon headlights and bespoke ‘Cheyenne’ cloth seats with leather-look side bolsters.
