You may remember exactly one year ago British sports car maker Caterham announced its plans to launch its own low-cost, high value karting championship with Caterham-designed karts in 2013. Now they unveil CK-01 kart, built specifically for this series.

Developed with simplicity, durability and quality in mind, the CK-01 prototype kart will be available as part of the competition package priced at £4,995+VAT, including six one-day events, as well as guidance through the acquisition of your ARKS race licence, a paddock trolley and entry to the six-event season.

Caterham kart series will be open to novices only, providing a full championship platform from which youngsters can either launch a motorsport career or simply enjoy themselves. In 2013 they welcome  a maximum of 120 youngsters aged between 13 and 16. Caterham will provide technical support at all events.

Caterham Karting also benefits from the vast karting experience of Laura Tillett, the first British female to compete in the CIK FIA World Karting Championship.
