We can’t think of many things the Australians are good at, but they certainly are a fun bunch these people on the evidence of all the stupidly awesome stuff they’ve done over the years. Maybe that has something to do with their ancestors being all convicts! Anyway, this is the latest effort that puts the Aussies in the book of world records, and it is the World’s Largest Simultaneous Burnout during the Summernats car festival 2013 in Canberra.

It has been a festival of amazing numbers as far as burnouts go. There were 69 powerful cars burning rubber, making tons of smoke. They murdered like 40 tires in the process and emitted a lot of chemicals. It was well worth it though, as they made into the Guinness book and provided the visitors with a big laugh.
