Following a successful first year with 38 podium finishes, McLaren updated its 12C GT3 for the 2013 season, and based on its performance in the first race of the season, they’ve done a cracking job. The car just achieved a brace of victories for the new customer team Clearwater Racing in the Malaysian Super Series.

The 12C GT3 has gained a lot of fame so quickly that they bagged some high-progfile customers, including the WRC champ Sebastian Loeb. The Sébastien Loeb Racing team has taken delivery of two 12C GT3s over the winter, and will take part in the FIA GT Series with nine-time WRC champion Loeb at the wheel.

The 12C GT3 will also herald the presence of the brand in the Blancpain Endurance Series and also the 2013 Avon Tyres British GT championship. The factory driver lineup include Alvaro Parente and Alexander Sims and Rob Bell and Adam Carroll.
