Lamborghini Egoista One-Off Celebrates Brand’s 50th Anniversary

Lamborghini couldn’t let their 50th anniversary celebrations go without a one-off something to mark it in proper style. So they hired famed designer Walter de Silva, and he came up with this scary little called called the Egoista. The car is so insane it makes the Veneno look like a Lexus.

Insane it sure is, but cool and desirable, probably not. Ever since they made the Countach, Lamborghini reserved the right for itself to be a little crazy, but this thing is just off the hook. We don’t dare call the Egoista ugly because we’re afraid it may come out of the monitor and bite our head off, but it certainly isn’t something we enjoy looking at.

The base for the Egoista is, apparently, the Lamborghini Gallardo, because it has the same V10 engine. Performance details of the car are yet to be announced, but it doesn’t really matter, since it’s a one-off show car.

Update: Official details and pictures added…

The Egoista is a single seater inspired by the Apache helicopter, and it has a cockpit with canopy and everything, which can be ejected in an emergency. It has active aerodynamics in form of two rear flaps the deploy at high speed to increase downforce, and it needs that, give a 600 horsepower V10 engine. Instead of traditional lights, the Egoista features LED clearance lights which determine its position not just on a single plane such as the road, but rather in three dimensions, as is required in airspace.

First the Reventon, then the Sesto, then Veneno, and now this. God know what the next Lambo concept would be like.
