Making preparations for it grand entrance into the 2013 SEMA show in November, Lexus has teamed up with DeviantART and called up on design creatives to try and make something interesting out of the IS sports sedan. The winning design will be modified by VIP Auto Salon in 10 weeks and goes on display at SEMA.
These are some of the early Lexus IS Sport deviantART design proposals. They are chosen from over 600 submissions, narrowed down later to only 25. The top designs are picked for being consistent with the image of the Lexus brand, originality and potential as an actual executable design.
The winning design belongs to Rob Evans from Seattle, Washington with the wide body IS in white. The second place winner was Lucia Lee of Pasadena, California, while Guanghao Huang from Southfield, Michigan placed third.
In addition to having his renderings made into reality, the winner will also receive a one-year lease of a 2014 Lexus IS F SPORT; $2,000; a trip to this year’s SEMA Show to see their IS concept on display; 8,000 deviantART points; and a one-year premium membership to deviantART. The second and third place prize packages include $1,500; a six-month premium membership to deviantART; and 4,000 deviantART points. But these are nothing compared to seeing your design come to life.
