Although Mercedes-Benz has already unveiled a new generation of the C-Class sedan and a number of its different editions, it won’t be available in the market for a few more months as a 2015 model. The current version will soldier on for now, only it gets lots of incentives and value-added packages, because dealers have to unload whatever they have left in stock.

The German car maker just announced the launch of an AMG Sport edition version of the 2014 C-Class in the British market, featuring lots of interesting goodies. The new package represents a significant saving over the outgoing AMG Sport model, priced at £1,500.

Available as Saloon, Estate and Coupe, the Mercedes C-Class AMG Sport comes with AMG bodystyling, steering wheel, alloy wheels and 15 mm lower sports suspension, as well as a new AMG boot lid spoiler, dark-tinted headlamps and high-gloss black grille. Inside, you get AMG Sport Plus seats upholstered in black Artico and Dinamica with blue/grey contrast stitching and split folding rear seats in the Saloon, plus dark brushed aluminium trim.

Options include a set of 18-inch wheels for £300, Premium Package (£1,595), which includes COMAND Online with Media Interface, reversing camera, heated front seats, Lighting Package and DAB digital radio, and Premium Plus Package (£2,495), with the same content as the Premium pack, plus a panoramic glass sunroof.
