In 2014 Volkswagen adds two new luxurious trim levels to Passat range, called the Executive and the Executive Style. These models sit above the ‘S’ trim level and are distinguished thanks to their exclusive exterior and interior appointment.

The VW Passat Executive comes with 17-inch ‘Michigan’ alloy wheels, exterior chrome trims, and matt black roof rails on the Estate model. The car offers £1,700-worth of equipment versus the Highline model that it replaces, including RNS 315 touchscreen satellite navigation system, DAB Radio, Bluetooth, 2Zone climate control, automatic lights and wipers, auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror, cruise control, plus front and rear parking sensors.

The Executive Passat is priced at £20,235, which is only 200 quid more than the outgoing Highline.

As for the VW Passat Executive Style, it comes with more elaborate exterior features, hence the name. You get 15 mm lower sports suspension, 18-inch ‘Kansas’ alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights, front fog lights, and tinted rear glass. All the equipment fitted to the normal Executive can be found in the Style version as well.

The Executive Style Passat costs £995 more than the Executive.
