The new version of Polo city car will take the Geneva Motor Show by storm, bringing no less than three new models, along with new engines, new technologies, and new trim lines. The range offers great diversity, from the economical Polo BlueMotion, to the sporty Polo Blue GT and the versatile CrossPolo.

Let’s begin with the VW Polo BlueMotion, powered by 66 kW / 90 PS 1.4 liter four-cylinder in petrol guise, and a 55 kW / 75 PS three-cylinder in the diesel model. The former averages 4.1 liters per 100 km, and the latter 3.1 liters, which means it has a driving range of 1,400 km, which is simply astonishing.

Our favorite from the new Volkswagen Polo family is the Polo GT. Here’s a tiny little car powered by a meaty 110 kW / 150 PS engine. That’s a recipe for fun. The car has fuel saving measures as well, including a cylinder shut-off (ACT or active cylinder management) system.

Then we have the CrossPolo, the rugged, crossover-like version of the car. Coming in four-door version only, the CrossPolo features in its new model new colours, new seat materials, a new type of wheel and new smoked rear lights.

Among the most notable technological upgrades, the new Volkswagen Polo range benefits from electro-mechanical servo steering system, Sport select suspension, Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, Driver Alert System, Front Assist ambient traffic monitoring system with City Emergency Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).
