UK pricing and specs of the all-new BMW X4 have been confirmed by the German automaker, as the car is getting ready to go into production in America come spring. The compact sport activity coupe will launch in the United Kingdom with three diesel engines, and zero petrol engines.
For whatever reason, BMW decided not to offer the X4 with a petrol engine in the UK. Not to worry though, as the diesel powertrains on offer are pretty good. The EU6 compliant lineup includes a 2.0-litre with 190hp and a peak torque of 400Nm (54 mpg); a 3.0-litre six-cylinder in-line developing and 560Nm (48 mpg); and another version of the same 3.0 liter with 313hp and 630Nm (47 mpg).
2015 BMW X4 UK prices start from £36,590 for the xDrive20d, £44,890 for the xDrie30d, and £48,990 for the xDrive35d which comes with an M package.
The UK-spec BMW X4 is very well-equipped, as the standard kit includes an automatically opening tailgate, Variable Sport Steering, 18-inch light-alloy wheels, front and rear Park Distance Control, Performance Control and Xenon headlights, plus 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats, a Sport leather steering wheel, Heated front seats and BMW Business Media package.
Options include the £1,500 xLine trim (18-inch light-alloy wheel, Satin Aluminium exterior trim, Dark Copper interior trim, Sport seats and exclusive xLine leather upholstery), and the £3,000 M Sport kit (M Aerodynamic bodystyling, High-gloss Shadow Line trim exterior, exclusive 19-inch M Sport light-alloy wheels, M door sill finishers, Sport seats and an Aluminium Hexagon interior trim).
