Volvo today released the first images and details of the R-Design version of the 2015 XC90 SUV. Set for the debut alongside the standard model at the Paris Motor Show next month, the XC90 R-Design offers a host of sporty features to spice up the family SUV, plus powerful engines with up to 400 horsepower.

On the styling front, 2015 Volvo XC90 R-Design is distinguished over the normal version by the virtue of its exclusive grille, front spoiler, silk metal window surround, integrated dual exhausts, integrated silver roof rails and silver matt mirror covers. Unique R-Design blue paint job and 20-inch R-Design alloy wheels set the car further apart.

Inside, you get gearshift paddles, plus the Contour sports seats and perforated leather steering wheel and gearshift knob are accompanied by special R-Design details, such as sports seats, pedals, floor mats and illuminated tread plates. Special features include an R-Design leather keyfob and a 12.3-inch tablet-like touchscreen.

As the range-topping model in the lineup, Volvo XC90 R-Design comes with a choice of Drive-E powertrains offering up to 400 hp and a revised chassis tuned for agile driving experience. Pricing and detailed specs are yet to be released.
