‘Center of Excellence’ is the name given to a number of special showrooms first created by Daimler to cater to Maybach customers. With the demise of that brand, the facilities are now used to showcase the latest models, and the one in Sindelfingen is where the new Mercedes AMG GT is on display these days.
Looking gorgeous in black, the new sports car not only sits at the top of Mercedes lineup as the new halo model, it also showcases the latest evolution of the brand’s design language. Mercedes AMG GT replaces the SLS super car, but unlike that car it is more about handling and the sensation of driving than outright performance in straight line. In other words, the GT is more of a sports car than muscle car.
Here’s the most important facts and figures about the Mercedes AMG GT. Make sure you also check out the official press photos, driving footage, and renderings of the car as Roadster and Black Series.
