MTM is best known as the tuner who can extract a million horsepower from every Audi engine regardless of the size and the number of cylinders. They also work on Bentleys. This time though, they decided to improve a low-level member of the VW Group, the Skoda Octavia vRS.
The Czech notchback is a fairly hot car in standard form, packing a 220 horsepower 2.0-liter TSI turbo engine. When MTM is done with it, however, the little Skoda become scorching. It gets 304 horsepower which should be enough to shave about a second off the car’s 0 to 100 km/h time.
MTM Skoda Octavia vRS also gets a Meteor Grey wrap with green stripes and graphics package, as well as gloss black wheels. The tuner was apparently content with the way the vRS looked in terms of body kit and interior. Being a range-topping model, the vRS also gets from the factory uprated breaks and suspension.
MTM’s engine treatments usually include a bespoke ECU map paired with a sport exhaust system. In fairness though, the 2.0 liter TSI engine in the Octavia is en engine with huge upgrade potential. The same basic engine is used in a large number of hot Volkswagen and Audi models.
