Turns out Alpina B6 Biturbo Gran Coupe is the most popular version of the BMW 6 Series in the United Arab Emirates. This past couple of months we saw two unique examples of this model at BMW Abu Dhabi showroom, and now here’s third one, also in a one of a kind color.
The first Alpina B6 Biturbo Gran Coupe the Abu Dhabi guys showed us was painted in an interesting color called Java Green. This one is finished inside and out in a darker Emerald Green, which we think is that much cooler because it is much less ostentatious. The usual Alpina visual treatment, including classic wheels and subtle front and rear spoilers, add to the visual drama of the car.
Alpina B6 is an alternative to the BMW M6 Gran Coupe, presumably aimed at those who may find the Bimmer’s own offering a bit too chintzy and vulgar. The tuner car is powered by a 4.4 liter V8 Bi-Turbo engine, upgraded by Alpina to make 540 hp and 730 Nm of torque. It comes as standard with BMW xDrive all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission, the combination of which makes the B6 the fastest accelerating BMW Alpina of all time, with a 0 to 100 km/h time of just 3.9 seconds.
