HRE Wheels and Wheels Boutique strike again with yet another over the top project, this time fitting a BMW i8 hybrid sports car with a set of blue wheels. Blue is kind of the official color for BMW i models, used subtly to hint at the cars’ extreme efficiency.
There is no subtlety about HRE’s blue-wheeled i8 though. The wheels stand out on this car like a red bottom stands out on a chimpanzee! That is not to say it’s a bad look for the BMW. On the contrary, these wheels add a bit of visual drama to the car’s looks and make it more… fun, for lack of a better term.
BMW i8 has a very serious and extremely futuristic look about it which some people may find a tad boring. Treatments like this will spice things up a bit and enables a wider group of people to enjoy what it offers and benefit from its advanced technologies. What’s more, the blue color of these HRE P101 wheels complement the electric blue accents on the i8’s front grille, side skirts, and rear bumper.
