Even though the horsepower war between car manufacturers is gradually winding down, it is still alive and well among tuners, especially German ones. Posaidon tuning center announced the launch of their latest Mercedes E63 AMG package, and it’s an 850 horsepower monster.

This tuner car outguns everything Mercedes-Benz and AMG have in their armory, including the mighty AMG 65 series. And since it’s a German firm who has built the kit, you can be sure it will work for years without any glitch or problem.

Posaidon began with a standard Mercedes E63 AMG which has 585 horsepower and over 800 Nm of torque when it leaves the factory. They took the engine apart and changed the turbochargers, intakes, manifolds, intercoolers, air filters, and of course, the entire exhaust system. When they put it bag together and tested it, the V8 pumped out a staggering 853 horsepower and well over 1,000 Nm of torque.

It would be dangerous if Posaidon left the chassis untouched since it now has to deal with a lot more power than before. So they beefed up the rear axle and also limited the top speed… to 345 km/h!
