The standard 360 horsepower Mercedes A45 AMG is considered by all sane people as ludicrously fast and powerful. But you will always find one or two lunatics who believe such a thing could do with more power.

The owner of this Mercedes A45 AMG is one of those crazy people who wanted even more oomph from his tiny little hatchback. So he asked Mcchip DKR to do the honors, knowing these guys never disappoint.

Right off the bat DKR ripped the ECU off the A45’s 2.0 liter turbocharged four-pot, flashed it, uploaded their own software on it to alter timing, ignition parameters and turbo boost, and plugged it back in. Then they got busy with the oily bits, upgrading the standard AMG turbocharger and customizing the exhaust system with a bespoke downpipe. 

If you thought AMG has extracted all that  a2.0 liter had to offer, think again. Mcchip-DKR Mercedes A45 AMG packs a massive 453 PS and 540Nm of torque. The tuner claims the hot hatch can now reach a top speed of 300 km/h, but we are more eager to see what kind of havoc all that power will wreak on the car’s handling!
