We’re not exactly sure why, but the new generation 2016 Nissan Maxima has suddenly become everybody’s favorite Japanese saloon. People are very excited to see this car enter production at Nissan’s Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant because that means it will soon hit the showrooms.

There has never been a bad Nissan Maxima, which is why the car has a good reputation. Granted, they have never been terribly exciting cars to drive, but compared to similarly priced big sedan, the Maxima always offered a more satisfying ownership experience. Now the new eight-generation of the car, which is pitched as a “4-door sports car” promises to add exciting styling and great handling to the mix for pretty much unbeatable combination.

The 2016 Nissan Maxima comes with a modernized version of the award-winning 3.5-liter VQ-series V6 engine with 300 horsepower, and combined it with a bold exterior design, premium interior cockpit and an extensive range of safety, security and driving aids. The car has a whiff of the four-door coupe about its styling which when paired with that aggressive front-end design gives it a pretty unique look.

In terms of equipment, the new Maxima is a tech fest boasting featuring like Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Forward Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Warning, plus Nissan’s new Driver Attention Alert system. The car is produced at the same facility where they make the Altima midsize sedan and all-electric Nissan LEAF.
