As you may remember, tuner German Special Customs is in the process of putting together a nice and thorough upgrade package for the BMW i8. The body kit is yet to be seen in the flesh, but they have at least finished the interior package, and it looks rather good.

Continuing with the two-tone theme of the exterior, German Special Customs BMW i8 gets a two-tone interior, in this case consisting of grey and blue. The grey bits are leather and they cover the seats, dashboard, door cards, and steering wheel, and they’ve been accented with blue Alcantara. This is the same BMW i blue used on the standard cars. GSC has just come up with a more interesting way of using it. Carbon fiber trim elements piece everything together nicely.

They are taking their sweet time over this, but when finished, German Special Customs BMW i8 will also boast a body kit consisting of custom front and rear bumpers, a new hood, new side skirts, and new tailpipes. Due to the unique shape of the car there isn’t much use for spoilers and diffusers and stuff. The tuner does supply new wheels though and they look great, but they might compromise the car’s fuel economy a bit. After all, the i8 is struggling to meet the claims as it is.
