Nope, it’s not a new Porsche. This is apparently the all-new 2016 Kia Sportage! The Korean company has released these preview pictures to show us what the new crossover looks like, in concept form at least, ahead of its official debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA).
You would agree, the changes are staggering. Kia has evidently abolished whatever the previous generation and their own design language stood for – apart from that tiger nose grille thingy – and penned the whole thing again scratch. It is too soon to judge the looks of the 2016 Kia Sportage, as these renderings are not very reliable. But one can’t help but see some Porsche Macan in the design of this new Kia.
As one of the company’s bestsellers, the 2016 Kia Sportage has a lot to live up to when it’s launched next year. It seems that Kia has got everything covered in terms of design inside and out, But what we would like to know is what they have done to the car in terms of refinement and the quality of the drive, two aspects where the current generation, to put it mildly, sucks at. We will find out about that when the first test units become available to the press.
