IAA 2015: Brabus Mercedes GLE Coupe 850

You are all familiar with Brabus 850 packages for the G and S-Class models, but at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show they unveiled an 850 program for the new GLE Coupe. Brabus Mercedes GLE 850 is a handsome brute with tons of power a lot of attitude.

Based on the GLE 63 AMG S, Brabus Mercedes GLE Coupe 850 uses the same 5.5 liter AMG V8 twin-turbo engine that is the base for all Brabus 850 models. What the tuner does is increase the displacement to 6.0 liter and swap pretty much every single part with high performance versions. As a result it now produces 850 horsepower and a mind-boggling 1,450 Nm of torque.

That is enough power to propel this two and a half ton monster from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 320. To keep the car in check at the kind of speed Brabus has uprated the suspension and lowered it a bit, fitted larger brake discs with high performance calipers, and installed large monoblock wheels wrapped with high performance tires.

Brabus Mercedes GLE 850 also gets a cool body kit with revised bumpers featuring carbon spoiler lip and grille surrounds up front and rear diffuser and tailgate spoiler out back. The kit is complemented with a re-trimmed interior featuring white leather upholstery and carbon fiber accents.
