While we are on the subject of cars wrapped in unique colors, let us also check out what the Europeans think is an eye-catching color. For that we turn to M&D Cardesign and the Prior Design Mercedes SL they recently wrapped for a client in a unique shade of blue called Atomic Teal.

The Prior Design Mercedes SL you see here is actually one of the most heavily custom version of the R230 SL-Class we’ve ever seen. It started life as a SL55 AMG powered by a 496 horsepower supercharged V8 engine, boasting those glorious double headlights which was the main design highlight of that generation.

But somewhere in its life somebody decided this SL could do with a bit of modernizing. So they ordered the PD63 styling package from Prior design for it, which included a complete facelift to the SL63 AMG version plus some aero parts like a vented bonnet designed by the tuner. It also got a set of fancy wheels and, evidently, modified suspension for some proper lowering.

Last but not least, this Prior Design Mercedes SL popped by M&D’s shop to get a cool Atomic Teal wrap made by 3M. Not everybody’s going to like this color, of course, but there is no denying it has revitalized the SL and gave it a fresh new look.
