Nissan realized that in order to survive in the busy and unforgiving crossover segment, they have to bribe the buyers. And they are doing that with a new special edition, the 2016 Nissan X-Trail Style Edition. As the name suggests, this one is designed first and foremost to look cool.

Well, Nissan X-Trail Style Edition does look a bit nicer than the standard versions, thanks to alloy sports pedals, chrome door sills, chrome mirror caps, a chrome finisher on the lower boot and striking 19-inch ‘Black Ibiscus’ alloywheels. But it’s an X-Trail at the end of the day, so don’t expect to be moved by it. Where this car really shines is in the equipment department.

Based on the range-topping Tekna model, Nissan X-Trail Style Edition comes with NissanConnect seven-inch touch-screen infotainment, Nissan Safety Shield with Around View Monitor, Forward Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning and Traffic Signal Recognition, Nissan Intelligent Park Assist, leather upholstery and steering wheel, power controls, and leather gear selector and satin-finish roof rails.

Available with either five or seven and boasting and standard Luggage Board Syste, the X-Trail Style can be had with 1.6-litre dCi 130 diesel or 1.6-litre DIG-T 163 petrol engines. Prices start from £29,405.
