Lotus has come up with a special edition of a special edition of the Evora to celebrate the factory in which it’s built. The fact that such a thing could only appeal to Lotus geeks, the end result, dubbed Lotus Evora 400 Hethel Edition, looks like a cool proposition.

Another purpose of launching Lotus Evora 400 Hethel Edition is for the company to shine a spotlight on the capabilities of their “Exclusive” program which allows customers to personalize and customize their cars with one-off colors and special options. In fact, the Hethel edition comes with three of this custom colors with matching trim options and a special commemorative build plate.

The exclusive colors available for Lotus Evora 400 Hethel Edition include Essex Blue, Motorsport Black, and Racing Green, and they can be complemented with black or red leather or Alcantara interior trim. You also get lightweight silver forged aluminium wheels, contrasting brake callipers, and bespoke graphics. Performance-wise, the car is standard 400 which is actually anything but standard. It is lighter and more powerful than a regular model, and quite a bit faster.

Weighing 1,395kg, Lotus Evora is 42 kg lighter than its predecessor and powered by a more powerful 400 hp and 410 Nm of torque, resulting a 0-60 mph time of just 4.1 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds) and a maximum speed of 186 mph (300 km/h). It comes as standard with AP Racing brakes, a Limited Slip Differential (LSD), automatic air-conditioning and infotainment system with satellite navigation.
