A German firm called LIGHTWEIGHT Performance is the latest in trying their hand at upgrading the BMW M2. True to its name, the LIGHTWEIGHT BMW M2 is lightened and equipped with more power and elaborate aero features, all in the name of better performance.

In terms of engine and power output LIGHTWEIGHT BMW M2, or LW M2 for short, gets a titanium valved exhaust system with 300-cell-turbo-downpipe, carbon airbox and software for a boost in power from 370 horsepower to 450 horsepower with 690 ft.-lbs. of torque. The car is now capable of reaching 297 km/h.

Keeping the LIGHTWEIGHT BMW M2 in check at that kind of speed is a series of aero, suspension, and brake upgrades. On the aero front the car gets a LW-PE-front spoiler blade, a LW-rear wing and the LW-outside mirrors in M4-design, all made from carbon. The kit is then complemented with a set of LW forged wheels in size 10×19 inch with 265/30-19 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 all around, supported by Bilstein Clubsport suspension and Brembo 380mm brakes.

The interior highlights of this special little M2 include carbon performance seats upholstered in Alcantara, carbon fiber trims, velour floor mats, and aluminum pedal set.
