BMW is in the habit of celebrating their milestones and big achievements with special edition produced in limited numbers and sold at a high price. So when it became clear that BMW Motorsport Works Driver Marco Wittmann was going to take home the 2016 DTM driver’s title they set about creating this BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition to celebrate him and the occasion.

The 2016 BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition, limited to 200 units and priced at 148,500 Euros, is a thoroughly upgraded version of the standard M4 which is much closer to the GTS version than the regular model. It comes with an upgraded engine – featuring the GTS’s water injection technology – producing an extra 69 hp for a total of 500 hp and a maximum torque of 600 Nm (+50), which translates on the road into a 0 to 100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/h (limited).

But as with all special editions, what customers really want from the new BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition is a distinctive look, and it doesn’t disappoint. The celebratory model comes with exclusively in Alpine White garnished with BMW Motorsport colors and boasts a full set carbon aerokit consisting of front splitter, the aero flicks positioned in front of the front wheel arches, exterior mirror caps, side skirt attachments, a rear diffuser as well as the large rear wing. M Carbon bucket seats covered in exclusive Alcantara/Leather Merino, M Sports steering wheel sporting a grey “12 o’clock” marker, and a white rollover bar in place of the rear seats are the highlights of the interior.

Other notable features of the M4 DTM Edition 2016 include titanium double-flow sports exhaust system, BMW navigation system Professional, air conditioning, adaptive LED headlights with BMW Selective Beam (glare-free high beam assistant), OLED taillights, Park Distance Control (PDC) at the front, star spoke design 666 M wheels in Orbit Grey matt with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber, M carbon-ceramic brakes, and individually adjustable 3-way coilover suspension.
