You may not recognize it in its new wrap, but this i8 belongs to singer Austin Mahone who, a while back, had had it wrapped in “Iron Man” red. The Rusted BMW i8, as they call it, is the first of its kind in the world and it’s done by the same fellas who wrapped the Iron Man, Miami’s Metro Wrapz.

As for why would anyone want his car to look like it’s completely oxidized, well, that is probably because people are running out of ideas to make their cars stand out and that means exploring uncharted territories like this. To be honest though, Rusted BMW i8 just looks like it’s been painted badly and you have to look at it awhile to guess it’s a wrap intentionally designed to look rustic, as it were.

Mahone’s Rusted BMW i8 has maintained its gold accents and Imperial Gold 22 inch Vossen Forged VPS-305t wheels in this transformation. These bits certainly go better with rust than they did with bright red and play a major part in giving the car its one-of-a-kind-look. The new style should keep Mahone amused for some time, but we can’t wait to see what Metro has in mind next for him.
