It was only a few days ago when the long-awaited Hamann BMW M2 was unveiled in full glory, but already DS Automobile of Switzerland have built their first example of this model. The car gets the full upgrade package, including engine, body kit and wheels.

In terms of performance, Hamann BMW M2 comes with a neat power kit with an additional control unit to optimize the ignition map and an optional stainless-steel sports exhaust system, resulting in an extra 50 hp and 65 Nm of torque extracted from the 3.0 liter straight-six turbo engine. That means the engine now makes 420 horsepower instead of 370, and 530 Nm instead of 465. What that means in terms of performance is 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds with both the six-gear manual transmission and the optional seven-gear dual-clutch unit.

As for the looks, although DS’s Hamann BMW M2 comes in a color that kind of obscures the styling kit, you can still notice the large front that is the main highlight of this package. Other little bits and bobs include extra wingtips in front of the rear wheel arches, rear spoiler and diffuser with custom tailpipes available in carbon-fibre, silver or black anodised. Last but not least, this M2 benefits from a set of gloss black Hamann Evo Anniversary wheels which makes the whole thing come together nicely.
