Mercedes AMG GT4 1 600x337 at Mercedes AMG GT4 Race Car Announced

Following the huge success of the AMG GT3 both on the race track and as a business scheme, Mercedes-Benz green lighted their AMG engineers to go ahead and make a GT4 variant as well. Previewed exclusively to a select number of customers and drivers, the new Mercedes AMG GT4 will be ready for action next year.

The extensive AMG GT family, which includes the GT, the GT S, GT R, GT convertible, GT3 and now the Mercedes AMG GT4, has proven an immensely lucrative model for the German company who, by the way, is also enjoying a great time with their motorsport activities w,hat with the recent Formula One victory. As for the specs and details of the new car, all they can tell us for now is that it has the same “user-friendliness and an excellent level of safety” as the GT3 car. We can also add from personal observation that the car also looks pretty dope.

Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Management Board of Mercedes-AMG GmbH: “The development of the Mercedes-AMG GT4 is another important step in the continuing expansion of our Mercedes-AMG motorsport programme. The excellent feedback of our Customer Sports teams concerning the AMG GT3 and the increasing interest for GT4 race cars strengthened us in our decision. We are delighted to address an even larger target group of amateur and professional drivers and teams in the future with it.”
