You remember the feud between Nissan and Porsche about the GT-R’s Nurburgring lap time? Well, Nissan’s new time would shut Porsche’s mouth for a while! They took the new 2010 upgraded model to the Ring and set a lap time of 7:27.56 which is 1.5 seconds faster than the old one.
The upgrades which made the new GT-R more than a second faster are quit minor. It has 5 more horsepower than its predecessor, a re-tuned launch control ( the old one kept braking!) and new setup for the gearbox and the suspension. But as it turned out these minor changes had their effect. Or maybe it was just a brilliant drive from Japanese race driver Toshio Suzuki 🙂
