Kia is implementing a new design line on all of their models, gaining a unique character. The signature for this new style is the new grille which was first seen in the new Forte model, and since then every new Kia gets it. For 2010 Kia Rio will also get this treatment, it even gets a new name for its domestic market, Kia Pride. You might not know this, but an old Kia model which was based on Ford Fiesta is still being produced in Iran under licence, and it’s called Pride too!
Based on these first pictures of the car, new Kia Rio gets a new front fascia with sporty elements like honeycomb grilles and black graphic for lights, and of course Kia’s new front grille which I think is cool. But where Rio really needed upgrade is inside where the quality and design have always been way below average.
Apparently for 2010 model the cabin has also been revamped with a new steering wheel, new dials and instruments and a top notch audio system. Kia Rio can be categorized in the same class with Dacia Logan or Fiat Siena, an entry-level economy sedan, now it’s fair to say the the new model with all its enhancements has the upper hand in this segment.
