These days every car maker is busy teasing their new models which will premiere at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor show. Now Kia has announced their third consecutive debut of the show which is this cutesy looking B-segment contender called the Venga. It is based on the Kia’s ‘No 3’ concept shown at Geneva in March and features Kia’s new grille as a signature of the brand.
The Venga is designed and engineered in Europe and will go on sale in the continent later this year and in the UK early in 2010. It is 4,068 mm long with 2,615 mm wheelbase which is pretty good, it’s also 1600 mm high so it seems to be one of the roomiest cars in this segment.
Kia fuel-stretching Intelligent Stop and Go technology will be available for every engine in the Vanga’s line-up. Venga will be marketed exclusively in Europe where consumers will be offered a choice of two Euro 5 emission standardised 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines, generating between 75 and 115 hp.
The Venga will be equipped with a sliding 60/40 split rear seat that also folds flat into the floor to create a spacious cargo bay and, a twin-level boot floor and depending on model a tilt-and-slide all-glass panoramic roof.
