Subaru has released a new set of images of their new concept car for 2009 Tokyo Motor Show, which is codenamed Hybrid Tourer Concept. It is literally the most important concept by the company ever! mainly because it showcases the future of Subaru design, and also their plans for a new hybrid drive-train.

As mentioned this car is a hybrid, but as for the specs, it really has not much so say. The system consists of a 2.0 liter turbocharged boxer engine, mixed with two electric motors on each of the axles, so it redefines Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system! But designwise, the Hybrid Tourer really excels. Of course we are not going to see those huge gullwing doors on any of the production models, but it promises that new Subaru cars will have more soul and charisma.
