In 2005 Daimler developed a one-off concept in collaboration with Fulda tires, called Maybach Exelero. They used this awesome vehicle to test Fulda’s new high performance tires, and also as a show car in a couple of events and then sent it to the museum. Now though apparently a Swiss-based company has bought the rights to produce and sell Exelero replicas.
This fake Exelero won’t be powered by AMG V12 engine, in fact it’ll be based on the 2010 Dodge Viper and gets its 8.3 liter V10 engine. And that’s a good plan because it means they can put it on sale for a reasonable price … emmm… $670,000!
