We really like widebody Mercedes SLs because they always look fabulous, but there’s a new trend going on to make SL65 AMG Black Series conversion kits based on normal SL63 or SL65, which is not cool. It’s great to make the SL look better, the thing is if you turn your SL63 into a Black, what you are saying is that you badly want a SL Black but can’t afford it, so you had your cheaper SL designed like it!
Anyhow, here’s Inden Design take on the car and they call their Black Wannabe the SL63 AMG BLACK SAPHIR.
The car gets a kit like the SL Black, but it also comes with some extra bits. There are fenders with ventilation openings, a complete hood with air intakes, sidesmolder-learn, to examine a tail apron with diffuser, a tail spoiler as well as rear widenings. And the cost of this conversion? a whopping 19.900 euros, and that’s not including the installation. That cost another 8,000 euros! for additional 3,500 euros you can get a hood, for 800 euros the tail diffuser in carbon and for 999 euros a front Flap of PE in addition.
Actually come to think about it, at the end maybe you are better off spending a bit more and get a real Black!
Inden indeed provides sport suspension and new set of wheels which are designed to look like Black’s wheels for your car, but you gotta blow another big pile of money on that as well. They offer 11×20 inch (front) and 13×20 inch (rear) with 275/30 R20 and 325/25 R20 Dunlop tires. The price of this set is 13,200 euros. The sport adjustable and speed-dependent suspension will set you back another 15550 euros, and then there’s the rear view camera (900 euros), day driving lights (420 euros) and suitable Black Saphire high-grade steel exhaust embellishers (1,200 euros).
Inden also provide a subtle engine upgrade which turns the power up to 560 HP and 670Nm, and an interior package with leather equipment, exclusive accessories, and multimedia system.
