Nissan today revealed a new model for JDM which is a luxurious minivan called the Elgrand. The car has a pure Japanese design which is cool but might look weird to the rest of the world, and it has a traditional approach to luxury with lots of leather and wood. But as you expect it’s very sophisticated and comes with a clever seating system as well.
Available as 250Highway STAR and 350Highway STAR (+Premium trim) models, the car can be had wit either two or four-wheel-drive and either a 2.5-liter QR25DE engine with maximum output of 125kW(170PS)/5600rpm and maximum torque of 245Nm, or a 3.5-liter VQ35DE (which is basically the same engine they used in Maxima for years) maximum output of 206kW(280PS)/6400rpm and maximum torque of 344Nm.
It comes as standard with multi-function high quality seats with leg rest and the world’s first 11-inch electronic retractable monitor used in a minivan. A Private Theater System powered by a Bose® 5.1 Surround Sound System is available for the rear seats.
