Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has created a one-off version of the Amarok pickup truck for the musician Rudolf Schenker, called Scorpions. The body of the car is obviously dominated by a giant scorpion and other paintbrush elements, and it has an accessory never fitted to any car anywhere ever. It has an automatically extendible spike at the rear with 120 LED!

I thought rappers are insane when it comes to cars, but compare to rockers, they are actually quite sensible and have very good taste! But it’s kinda cool, no one ever tried to turn his into a scorpion before. And I guess Rudolf Schenker was a bit higher than usual when he though of this!

The car this scorpion is based on is an Amarok Highline in “Reflex Silver Metallic” with a 2.0-liter TDI engine and 163 H.P. The new Volkswagen pickup only consumes 7.6 liters of fuel per 100 kilometres, making it the most economical in its class.

Rudolf Schenker and his band are excited about their new car.
“This is the coolest motor I’ve ever seen, by a long, long way. It’s pure Rock`n`Roll on four wheels“, raved Schenker.

“Our first reaction was that someone had gone off their rocker when they told us we were supposed to convert an Amarok into a scorpion”, says Dirk Seifried, Head of the technical Tools Manufacturing Service at Volkswagen in Braunschweig.
