BMW’s most charismatic tuner Alpina announced the new B5 Bi-Turbo Touring based on the 2011 BMW 5 series Touring for debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.

This estate version of the B5 sedan features the same amazing treatment and gets the twin-turbocharged 4.4 liter V8 that delivers 507 PS and more than 700 Nm. In other words it is a BMW M5 for those who can’t wait for the real thing!

The car uses an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission but given its size and weight it is slightly slower than the sedan version. Zero to 100 km/h takes 4.8 seconds, a tenth of a second slower, and the to speed is 300 km/h. Not that shabby after all. In the real world you wouldn’t notice the difference in speed but you will enjoy the better practicality and convenience the Touring offers. Fuel consumption for the B5 touring as Alpina says is 10.9 liter per 100 km with CO2 emissions of 255 g/km.

You can now place your order for an Alpina B5 Touring for 98.800 Euro.
