Lotus Evora Enduro GT

Lotus Evora Enduro GT 1 at Lotus Evora Enduro GT

This new Lotus Evora Enduro GT has been developed based on the GT4 Evora to cope with the GT2/GTE regulations. Lotus has plans to go endurance racing with this car in various events this year and also in 2012.

The 4 liter V6 engine of this Enduro GT is prepared by Cosworth and delivers 440 bhp and 460 Nm of torque. The power is transferred to the rear wheels via a XTRAC 6-speed sequential gearbox. Add to that the lightweight body and Evora’s natural awesome handling, and you end up with one helluva race car!

They’ve also given it a similar livery to their Formula 1 car. It’s amazing how Lotus can manage so many things all at once. The small Norfolk-based firm has two teams in F1, five or six new models coming up, and an extensive racing program for each model they make!

otus Motorsport intend to contend the following endurance events this year:
23 – 26 June 2011 Nürburgring ADAC 24 Hour Race (GER)
28 – 31 July 2011 Spa 24 Hour Race (BEL)
8 & 9 October 2011 Silverstone 24 Hour Race (GB)
The 24 hour races in Dubai and Daytona are on the list for 2012. The Evora Enduro can be bought by private individuals and adapted for racing.
