These are the first clear shots of the new 2012 BMW M5 F10, although it sports a concept badge. The pictures were taken at a private event in which BMW revealed a couple of new concept to a selected group of journalists.
Of course they were not supposed to be seen as there’s an embargo on the car, but some Russian website has apparently hit the publish button accidentally! And here we are, the 2012 BMW M5.
The first impressions are good. Unlike the previous M5 which was all angry and shouty and look-at-me, this one’s more discrete and understated. In fact an uninterested eye would struggle to tell it apart from the normal 5 Series. That said, the car gets a full M treatment with aggressive bumpers, front and rear spoilers, rear diffuser and four big tailpipes. It also gets new design M wheels.
The final production version might change slightly, but this is the new BMW M5. Stay tuned for official pictures and details.
