Expanding their business even further, Lotus Enterprises today confirmed they’ve acquired British sportscar maker Caterham. T mark this event, they made a special Lotus edition of the Caterham Seven.
This special edition model starts life as a normal Seven but you pay an extra 3000 GBP for it. For that they will fit the car with a raft of bespoke Team Lotus additions and paint it in the the famous green and yellow colours of Lotus. It also comes with a plaque carrying the signatures of Team Lotus F1 drivers, Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen. Owners will also receive a Seven history book signed by chief designer, Mike Gascoyne.
The car also features a massive roll cage which frankly makes it look ridiculous. Caterham Seven Lotus Edition will be limited to 25 units and is based on the top-of-the-range 263bhp, 150mph Superlight R500 version. The current range of Caterham Seven products starts with the Caterham Classic, priced at £13,650.
