Apparently Nissan’s bravery in making the the Murano Cross Cabriolet inspired Audi to bring back the Q5 cabrio concept from the bin and consider putting it into production.

Reports from Ingolstadt suggest that Audi Q5 Cross Cabrio could be produced as soon as 2012 and in limited numbers of around 5000 units. Although there’s no details available yet, but its looks could be very similar to the concept pictured here and it would feature a canvas roof. One would imagine that just like the Murano, the Q5 too will look like a bit of a mess. But no one can deny joys of driving a SUV with the top down.
