Oprah Winfrey keeps her word, or rather Volkswagen does, and hands out keys to a brand-new 2012 Volkswagen Beetle just as promised last November while teasing a design silhouette of the car. They had actually promised to give all of the 275 members of the audience a new Beetle, so there will be many more happy faces like this guy’s!

There’s actually a story to this, as Volkswagen says:

One ultimate “Oprah” show fan, Justin, was picked to be in the audience that day, but there was a hitch: because Justin was five months shy of his 18th birthday, he wasn’t allowed to attend. Even though he was disappointed, Justin wrote to the “Oprah” show producers and said, “Although I was not at the show, I know something bigger and better will happen.” Maybe Justin should have said “something bigger and redder.”
