BMW can’t stop making special editions of the M3. The reason is of course money.

These M3s come with some matte paint, bigger wheels, and some leather and carbon fiber for the interior, plus a couple of badges.  All these changes can be made to a standard M3 with $5,000 max. But BMW charges you $20,000 for it! It’s a great way of making an extra $15K on each car.

They have made a bunch of them for China, but here’s one for America. It’s called the Frozen Black, which is like the Frozen Grey you’ve seen before, only darker. The Frozen Black exterior paint with a deep metallic luster looks pretty damn cool, but this kinda paint jobs are hard to maintain and need looking after.

It also comes with M3 GTS black wheels, red brake calipers, and gloss black exterior trim elements. Interior features include extended Novillo Leather with unique red-contrast stitching.

There is no performance upgrade though, it has the same 4.0-liter, 414-horsepower M V8 engine, equipped with BMW’s M Double Clutch Transmission (M DCT) which does zero to 60mph in 4.7 seconds.

The Frozen Black is limited to just 20 units, each priced at $79,650 (excluding $875 Destination & Handling and excluding $1,300 federal gas guzzler tax). So unless you like to show off stand out in the crowd, you are much better off with a standard M3.
