Here they are, the first (Leaked) pictures of the real, 100 percent production version of the 2012 BMW M5. And, well, it looks exactly the same as the concept version.

That is good news. The car looks like a tiger, apart from the color! On the surface It looks cool and understated, but it’s also vicious and mean and angry at the same time. We think it looks fantastic, specailly in comparison to the old M5 which was a bit vulgar with its massive chin and exposed bottom!

This particular color on this car, the Monte Carlo Blue, is sporty and nice. But you see, what makes the M5 so cool is that it it’s not shouting about its inner power. It should look like a run of the mill 5 Series to most people, but if  you open the taps it can embarrass Ferraris and Porsches.

As for the technicalities, although we should wait for the official details which are expected to be released very soon, the new M5’s V8 biturbo is expected to develop around 560 hp, topping all the rivals, with 680 nm of torque, 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and top speed of 305 km/h, although it’ll be limited to 250 in Europe.

Stay tuned for more official info and pics.
