2012 Nissan Versa Sedan at 2012 Nissan Versa Sedan U.S. Pricing Announced

The latest Nissan Versa sedan becomes available in the American market in August with a base price of $10,990. That makes it one of the cheapest new cars out there.

And it’s not like your 10 grand Versa is just better than walking. It comes as standard with air conditioning, 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, AM/FM/CD/Aux-in audio system and an advanced 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine with dual injector system and twin Continuously Variable Timing Control (CVTC). That engine makes 109 horsepower and 107 lb-ft of torque, and returns 33 mpg.

So it’s a full car, well equipped, for just 10,000 USD. It is incredibly good value. But my God is it ugly!

The new 2012 Versa Sedan is available in three models – 1.6 S, 1.6 SV and 1.6 SL – and is scheduled to go on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide in early August.  Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP) for the 2012 Nissan Versa Sedan models include:

Model/Engine/Transmission
Versa Sedan 1.6 S 5MT $10,990 USD
Versa Sedan 1.6 S CVT $12,760 USD
Versa Sedan 1.6 SV CVT $14,560 USD
Versa Sedan 1.6 SL CVT $15,560 USD
