AMG Driving Academy Performance Series are short films Mercedes USA has made about the Driving Academy’s activities and courses, so the fans would know the advantages of taking them.

So they’re more of an ad for the Academy, but these films are actually very informative and will teach you some of the basic techniques. Of course to learn the skills fully you are going to have to attend the course.

This episode 1 of AMG Driving Academy Performance Series is a bit boring to be honest, as it’s about seating position. In this one AMG instructor and racing driver Tommy Kendall, who looks more like a Delta Force operator trying to teach you how to handle a machine gun, demonstrates fundamentals such as seat and mirror adjustment, as well as line of sight, which will put you in the optimal position for high-performance driving before you hit the track.

Like I said, boring. But don’t despair, upcoming episodes will involve more sideways action and tire smoke!
