Volvo S60 Performance Project 1 at Volvo S60 Performance Project

Looks like the idea of high performance models is spreading through Volvo headquarters like wildfire!

Just yesterday we ran a report about the strong possibility of C30 Polestar production, and now check this out. The Volvo S60 Performance Project is a hotted-up version of the family sedan, designed and developed jointly by Volvo Australia, tuner Heico and racing partner Polestar. Volvo definitely needs a performance division, a task force, to concentrate these efforts. Only that way they can produce great results.

The S60 PP gets a tweaked version of the 3.0 liter turbo engine with 325 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque. It also benefits from sport exhausts with four AMG-style mufflers, sporty, stiffer suspension lowered by 15mm and 19-inch wheels. The car is based on the S60 R-Design,so not much work needed to be done on the appearance. It’s already very sporty!

Cars like this can help Volvo shake off the associated dull image with their cars and find a new, younger customer base.
