Every time you think car designers have run out of ideas, they hit you with a new thing! Check out this Audi urban concept, an ultra-light city car with 1+1 seats.
It might sound dumb at first, but it’s actually a clever idea, this 1+1 seating. Instead of putting the two seats in a cramped space at front like a normal, they’ve moved the passenger seat a bit further back. That gives both driver and passenger much more space.
Audi says this isa concept car with no unnecessary weight, and one that concentrates on the pure essence of sporty motion.
In terms of styling features, the urban concept has some innovative items like free-standing wheels, blinking strips of LED lights, and of course, those side blades inspired by Audi R8. The car also has 21-inch wheels. Entry to the car is via the tailgate. The roof is designed to be maneuverable and slides to the rear to open. Inside the cabin the driver can can adjust the steering wheel and pedals to his own body measurements.
Audi urban concept is powered by two e-tron electric motors, backed by a lithium-ion battery. If you are visiting Frankfurt Motor show next month, make sure to check out this car in erson.
