In a recent interview with Car Magazine, Nissan boss Carlos Ghosn was asked about the Infiniti GTR. Are they going to make it?

Ghosn, being wicked, answered : No! But he did say that such a car makes perfect sense for the company. They have all the technology and resources they need in order to make the Infiniti GTR. They’ve even got a fantastic design, the Infiniti Essence Concept pictured here, for the project.

But Infiniti right now is too busy with their other projects, namely the JX crossover and the new high performance series. So they are not even thinking about their own GTR for the time being.

But as Ghosn said, they can do it, and they very well might. Just the fact that he didn’t dismissed the project altogether means there’s still hope for the Infiniti GTR. And it will be quite a car. The GTR performance with Infiniti luxuriousness and looks. Sounds so damn interesting!
